We spent almost a week outside the town of Three Forks at a lovely KOA campground, but of course we forgot to take any pictures of where we stayed or the friends we made there. The air from the fires in the state of Washington started getting to us as we were ready to leave, and it was getting really hot, so it was time to pack up and get going. But first we want to show you a little of our time in this area. Like Fort Benton, this town hadn’t changed much over the years, except for some updates, and would be a great place to hang out—until winter.
Population of the town is just under 2000, and wheat fields surround the countryside.
Now that Lewis and Clark were starting to follow the Jefferson River fork, the next stop is a place Sacagawea remembered from her childhood.
