On Thursday we drove out to a local state park that was the site of the largest civil war battle in Florida. We’ve seen a lot of these sites over the years, but this time the ground was flat and the pine trees far apart from each other. The park was set up so we could walk around the battle site and read descriptions on the signs. We didn’t know that any Civil War battles were fought in Florida but found out why from this sign. So interesting.
For lunch we went to Marion Street bar and grill that had been recommended to us and had a great meal. A real do-again.
