The Corps of Discovery probably thought that their challenges were behind them—until they tried to navigate the Columbia River all the way to the where it met the Pacific Coast. We appreciated seeing where they hung onto the rocks for their lives until they could find a place to dry out. Then we got to see where they lived for the winter and could make enough salt to get them back to the Plains where they could find some bison for their meals.

Wonderful that you’re “back on the road” and seeing so many places that show our rich history in the USA. We are blessed to live in such an amazing land.
We also love touring and have recently been to the Great Lakes area around Montreal and Northern NY. Perhaps we’ll see Door County WI in September. You definitely inspire us!!
