We drove north to Bismark, ND, for the 4th of July and the Corps of Discovery’s winter of 1804-1805 at Fort Mandan. A number of posts will show you what the fort looked like and we’ll learn about their time here, as well as learn about the Mandan Natives who helped them survive and then plan for the rest of the Corps’ trip.
