As we were driving a back road along the Missouri River toward Sioux City, we saw a scenic overview sign. We’re always ready for a stop when we see such signs.
Wonder what this scenic overview has for us.
As we walked to the building in the top right corner, we enjoyed seeing this tall grass that has been part of the land for years.
This was our view of the land before the Missouri River and the plains beyond it that seem to go on forever.
We’ve seen this information before, and I love the sight of the men pulling the keelboat in the shallow water.
#4 was the Omaha/Council Bluffs spot where we just spent some time. Today we’re just north of #6.
Now on to Sioux City, Iowa. After that point, the Missouri River turns northwest, but we’ll be going in another direction and seeing some other sights for a while.
