At our state park campground, Barney met a fellow camper who told him about a gospel song-fest that was going to happen on Saturday afternoon. So before we drove into town to watch our granddaughter’s soccer match at Coker University, we drove over the equestrian show ring and enjoyed two of the groups singing gospel songs for those sitting around the stage.
real reason for being here
The real reason for being in this part of the state was to watch our granddaughter’s soccer team, Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC, play at Coker University. A large number of players are seniors and juniors, so sophomores like Montana don’t get much playing time.
They were hot but in the shade we were chilly.
This ends our time in the northeast corner of South Carolina; we’re so glad to got to explore this part of the state. Now onto our next stop–Georgia.
