We’re in Galveston, right on the Gulf of Mexico! Took Sunday as a down day from exploring to watch church online (Andy’s covering Jesus’ 7 signs from John’s Gospel—wonderful!), wash clothes, and cook. Thought you might enjoy seeing how we’re living for these five months.

Today we realized that the first we ever knew of Galveston was from Glen Campbell’s song in 1969, but we had no idea what it was about. We found it on YouTube. It’s about a soldier going to war (Vietnam) wondering if he’d get to wipe away his girl friend’s tears before he died. So sad, but the song is so upbeat that we thought it was a happy story.
