Before packing up this morning, we decided to take one last walk along the Gulf of Mexico right by our campground. The view of the water and the sky was amazing; we could have looked at it for hours (if it stayed this way for that long). We’ve decided that Galveston has been one of our favorite towns (under 50,000 population), and our campsite is one of the best we’ve stayed at.
When I was in my mid-20s and felt unloved and unlovely, I remember going on a retreat to the coast south of where I lived in the Bay Area. One morning I walked out to the beach, and saw the beauty of the sky and the sea and how perfectly they fit together and thought that if God could make such beauty and order, He could do the same in me. Today with this view of the water, I remembered that time and realized that He had done what I had longed for way back then.
We also wanted to share some views of trailers that we enjoyed while walking around this campground.
Now off to Corpus Christi!
