We really enjoyed driving through the countryside and seeing the prosperous corn fields. Dairy farms need the feed for the cows! Since today is National Dessert Day, we went to Kelley Country Creamery where the dairy provides milk for the ice cream. Yummy.
Wisconsin has a grocery store chain that we really enjoyed. Upscale from the Walmarts we’ve been depending on!
We closed down the campground, Calumet Park, for the season in Calumet near Fond du Lac!
The waves were high on the lake as we left.
For those of you who don’t camp, every campsite is so different. Options can range from electrical (one plug or two), water and/or sewer hookups, WiFi connection, cement or dirt under the trailer, trees overhead or sunny, or none of these (like a Walmart parking lot).
This site in Fond du Lac didn’t have water hookups, and Barney is so glad because wind chill this morning is in the 20s. Unhooking water lines can be so cold with these temperatures.
Off to The Wisconsin Dells tomorrow.
