Ever since I was in grade school in Des Moines, I loved watching the Tournament of Roses parade each January 1. Year after year seeing the viewers sitting in sunshine and wearing short sleeves propelled me to move to California after grad school. If you enjoy watching this parade, you might enjoy watching Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs episode where he helps with taking apart some of the floats and cleaning up the mess.
