We took a day trip to Selma, NC, a small town south of Raleigh. Susie had heard of an antique/collectables shop, one of many, that have gems to find. Susie and I agreed that we were going to look for “our” gems.
Barney found a room of Coca Cola memorabilia and bought a little gift for Norm and Marie, who we saw on our last Florida trip, since their guest room is full of Coca Cola items.
Nice to have a little “sit-down” after walking through all of the antique/collectible shops in Selma.
Had lunch at White Swan, a BBQ place in Smithville, a few minutes away. Not a great meal but it was fuel, it was fast, and our server was so friendly.
On the way home, we stopped at a favorite coffee shop in Raleigh, Night Kitchen, for an afternoon treat. Barney had a delicious serving of bread pudding.
